ACROLYSIS – “Black Dog’s Serenade” out now via Bandcamp #acrolysis

Sydney’s Acrolysis release their debut EP Black Dog’s Serenade – a politically charged, heavy metal dream. Acrolysis are blending 80s thrash and 90s alternative, creating a five-track collection of raw power filled with punchy riffs, blistering solos and thought-provoking lyrics. The thirty-minute juggernaut is an unapologetically aggressive piece of music, tapping into the current zeitgeist and revealing the disparity of society one layer at a time.

Formed in 2017, Acrolysis are tackling the disparities and realities of society by discussing and analyzing the institutions that have inflicted their influence over our existence. Bearing the flag of bands and artists prior like Black Flag, Dead Kennedys and Rage Against the Machine, Acrolysis call out the flaws of institutions and government through their poetic imagery, tongue and cheek quips and direct lyrical writing. With an aggressive and unapologetically powerful sound, Acrolysis are here to be the loud voice that the world always needs.

BIO: Formed in 2017, Acrolysis combined their influences of 80s thrash metal and 90s alternative to create politically charged and aggressive music. Tackling the disparities and realities of society by discussing and analysing the institutions that have inflicted their influence over our existence. With an aggressive and unapologetically powerful sound, Acrolysis are here to be the loud voice that the world always needs. Vocalist and guitarist Konstantine Ana started working on the project and wanted to find similar minded musicians that liked playing the kind of music he did. After different lineups and band names, he found Amit Bamay (drums) and Mytal Baba (bass guitar). All of them gelled instantly and begun writing and composing music together and not lot long after, they hit the stage. Playing shows together around the east coast of Australia, perfecting their sound and working on their live performances to become an impressive live act. Eventually, they decided on writing an EP with brand new songs to see if their chemistry playing live would be reciprocated in writing and recording. Sure enough it did. In 2019, they released ‘Black Dog’s Serenade’, a five song collection of raw power. A politically charged, heavy metal dream, illustrating the outfit’s versatile capabilities. The EP solidified the band’s sound and acts as a teaser for what the band can and will create in the future. Currently, the band is working on a joint collaboration with thrash metal legends Reaver, and are in preproduction for their album to be slated for release next year.
